A group of people were assembled to make and run Halloween. Most of the original group ended up not being to really do either part to the extent they originally intended to. This put a lot more pressure on the remaining folks which overlapped with Pokemonish mash. So, the Pokemonish team more and more started to pick up the slack because they did not want their friends to be overworked until it was basically the Pokemonish team running Halloween. Does this mean that Halloween probably should have been cancelled? Idk, maybe! But it wasn’t cancelled. So, it was run to the best of our ability.

why couldn’t other people have done the halloween mash? i am sure there are a bunch more willing people

if there aren’t then you could have just hosted the second one later on

i am sure MU can live 10 nanoseconds without a mash in signups

i don’t think it’s like this because there’s this perception that MU is fiending for mashes or anything. it’s almost certainly the product of a lot of boring decisions and factors all compounding to create a situation that probably no one is really happy with.
