and I’ve heard basically only good things about Black Myth: Wukong
I will admit that a DLC being nominated is kinda whatever but like its Elden Ring

video games don’t have to be linear cinematic setpieces to be game of the year
whilst super mario is cool its not winning more than a few “you exist” awards
somebody making apparently the best 3D platformer game in a hot minute (a genre that is widely loved for a reason, mind you) is entirely plausibly game of the year

metaphor fucking swept jrpg circles harder than FFVII Rebirth (because it’s a better game cough) and astro bot did the same for platformer fans (which again are like everywhere because the genre has such a massive legacy that making a new, innovating, awesome one is genuinely hard af)

I think you got frustrated that my opinion was what you perceived to be very misinformed and you posted a more charged than ideal message which you have proceeded to claim you didn’t mean to be charged when it very clearly was charged
Referring to something being “for old people” is a very common saying/trope that everyone knows is based upon generational differences rather than the actual underlying topic
What you’ve said is largely different because “echo chamber” has very negative connotations and in combination with your reference to tiktok it’s demeaning
also there’s a key difference in that I actually use tiktok, and that you’re not actually old
