I usually jaywalk when I am close to the zebra or somebody’s ahead crossing the street on a one-way street and it stops the cars

I wouldn’t call this scenario is jaywalking, (in this case you are aware there is no other traffic.)

It is technically jaywalking cuz you’re crossing the street when you’re not supposed to. Though I’d usually wait for the timer to go off before going as it doesn’t take long even if there aren’t cars nearby

i mean i will run across the road if i am lazy. but again requires there to be no cars on the road and no crossing in my immediate area
