Woof
Nbowieâs sixth sense kicking in.
yea that tracks
if you were all in on NVIDIA then sure
I mean, itâs been the primary driver of growth for the market as a whole.
Ripple effects are gonna be messy.
unlikely, unless things get much much worse
My understanding is the situation is that Deepseek is able to function with lower-end chips than the ones that Nvidia makes, so the companyâs decade-long advantage is nullified by the lower cost.
So it really comes down to an argument of, âWould Nvidiaâs chips be necessary for a higher-quality version of the product?â and âWould consumers really care?â
like the market is still up on the last week
plus a new AI company coming onto the scene hardly represents a burst of the AI bubble
k fair
I donât think itâs necessarily a burst so much as an indication that the industry is going to shift. Deepseekâs presenting a new (and maybe more effective?) method of training that might force a lot of AI companies to course-correct if they want to keep up, theyâve made their project open-source to allow for copycats, and investors are now going to start considering abroad projects with more interest. It all leads to AI companies domestically facing new uphill battles.
I imagine Trump is probably going to step in at some point, and itâs gonna kickstart a whole mess, but thatâs a February problem.
honestly more efficient AI was ~necessary if we ever wanted it to be actually useful so like
v worth
From a consumer standpoint, amazing, extremely glad that weâre getting there.
From a market standpoint, hell.
Anyways, thatâs neither here nor there.
Prediction is that market recovers slightly over the course of the next couple of days, and weâre probably going to get something from the White House by EoD Wednesday that goes full-on âChina is attempting to destroy this great nationâ and leads us into ???.
Maybe Tuesday, if the companies lobby hard enough.
Professor has asked if anyone has heard of ERP before. Has anyone heard of effective radiated power before?
I h-have not
why are you guys sweating and seeming anxious
Iâm scared of radiation
