it is significantly easier than baba is you imho

it is hard to rate difficulty of puzzles on an objective scale, but imo none of the ‘main’ puzzles in the game are above, like, a 6/10 (without going too much into spoiler territory it does ramp up in difficulty but in optional areas after you’re more acclimated to the game)

for comparison i completed almost all of VS without hints while i got stumped around world 4/5 in baba is you

the main sticking points are that 1. it has no undo/reset buttons (and no options to save or load) 2. you have a limited supply of lives, and i think the second one is what causes most people to bounce off the game, because they’re used to solving things via trial and error and the game very explicitly punishes you for doing that

it is genuinely difficult, especially in the later areas, but to be frank, the lategame of Baba Is You is far tougher

having said that. i think going into void stranger expecting it to be unforgiving and difficult is the right thing to do, because of the weird things about the game (like not having an undo button, and almost all your actions having Permanent Consequences, no matter how small), and the themes of the game
