Unlike in a regular Forum Mafia game, where one would assume your character has a 1:1 counterpart bluff that could mirror a town role, that isn’t the case here. Claiming your roleblock is largely NAI. It just gets your foot in the door that mechanically you did something.
This is my last ‘Awaiting Approval’ post for now to say that I am sorry if I am being a bit long winded I am excited about joining this game since it seems new and fun but the two deaths so far have been a bit confusing. The purple neutral which I couldn’t find and a king which seems like a weird kill to go for as well.
Good luck everyone and happy hunting. I hope that my opening things can help gleam something about me but I know that I have been quite straightforward with my approach. I think Lupin is one of my top town at the moment as I like the relaxed manner the slot approached day start with, it seems like evil might want to push some sort of agenda and sadly I cannot skip the day right now or anything like that but it would be funny if I could.
See you around
For now though I will not presume that we are facing the Unseen as the first flip didn’t really confirm anything in particular with regards to our foes, just that a purple supposed neutral died, which I tried looking for in the class card thread but couldn’t find it myself in the neutral section fully. I trust that others will not jump to conclusions too fast and while I enjoy speculating on that first death and think that physician style people using abilities could help with that, it is something we shouldn’t dwell on too much.
If other more observant people work out possibilities we can keep them as a list and consider them in the future, I might do so myself but I don’t know whether I’d just look for day killing characters or things which might cause false flips or both? After all if there is a character which can make someone appear as a neutral but flip the correct color that gives us some useful knowledge but if there isn’t then there’s still more uncertainty to be uncovered.
It’s truly wonderful that posts at the moment are awaiting approval so they can be posted but I digress. I know my previous posts have been about the outed Non-BD and I should be commenting more about other slots. However I am intrigued by the first day death flipping a purple color and yet being labelled as neutral instead of Unseen.
I am a bit newer to the format so I am just working out how to do everything and the right balance of talking about more key parts versus focusing on other slots as the game proceeds. I typically enjoy socially solving people rather than looking towards mechanics but I think that abilities can still help solve. I did submit an action at some point this game, so I am trying to balance that.
If anybody has questions for me I will try to answer them.
I’d take the dayvig in this situation.
Even if McBrains is telling the truth, until we have reason to believe that the Observer is converted, the slot is more likely to be on our side and so is something we should protect with abilities.
And in worlds where McBrains is lying, well, that’s even more of a benefit for dayvigging.
The issue arises from the fact that we do not truly know what color McBrains’ class card is, we only have word to go off that despite being outed as Non-BD we ‘Have no need of executing’ the slot.
I personally do not trust this claim and would request we are a little more apprehensive of believing it.
Also as I am sure that you all should be able to tell, my posts seem to have been approved in reverse order.
So my post above me is my first post, above that is my second one and so on. This is my sixth post
i guess, timing and context of it seemed unnecessary for an evil can keep evaluating as we get new information, no interest in pushing them right now
what difference does 3 votes make to 2 lmao? pointless statement
what is the “sufficient” amount of pressure on a player with 1 post?
The Bodysnatcher is in the Unseen section, where it is strangely labelled as Neutral. I don’t really know what that means for us.
Incorrectly labelled, looks to me Unseen does start with two starting evils and one random converted role, making this three.
That is something which is traditionally correct based on games I tried to have a look at. But when I looked at the post made by the hosts at the top there was no proper list, so guessing it is the exact same could be dangerous.
This is the first 24 hours. Perhaps I am more sympathetic in this light as it had not even reached a few hours into the game, and sometimes people may be away briefly. Otherwise I wouldn’t mind it.
Perhaps I am overreacting.
Do Unseen and Cult convert on the first night (last night)?
cackles pensively
With a starting convert that killed somebody at start of day 1? Ever heard of faction caps?
No I have not. OP was not exactly informative and the class card thread is too long to understand so I have very limited understanding of how the game mechanics work.
cackles sadly
It used to be with just two starting evils, one that does the killing and another with converting. Even on 16-17 setup and also has neutral killing and non-killing neutral for balance sakes.
Definitely one king and not two kings, sounds inexcusable to replace the prince slot with a king,.
Seems strange for the hosts not to correct this error in the flip, but I don’t really see any other options.
Could you please elaborate on what faction caps are / what they mean?
WhiteWitch you are my favourite student
