I think he is the messenger that give prescripts, I don’t know how he is tied with the 4 evil roles. But for all I know these books at least had red herring in it.
I read this like 3 times and didn’t understand it
Index have a role called messengers, they will be the ones that deliver the prescripts.
So unless there are town roles that can do Night 0 actions, without direct evidences, Zone being hinting to be Index is guilty by association, as for the latter part of my comment, one of the books might be fake role.
Where did Zone say he did a night 0 action can you link it?
And I said he was index, he never said it himself
Here’s the timeline
Game starts > Zone complains about his role and having to be forced to do undesirable stuff > Egg makes a reads list where he mentions Zone has prescripts > I put 2 and 2 together and using my knowledge of Ruina put together than Zone is probably an Index flavor role because Index members are defined by having to do illogical stuff compulsively in the Library of Ruina game.
Zone never mentioned anything about prescripts himself unless I missed it so this implicates Egg.
I could have guessed Zone was a Index member without Eggs post but that post put the puzzle pieces together for me
Also all mafia are Patron Librarians which means being a member of the Index means Zone is town
And I don’t see how ANY of this has to do with the books we are burning or what made you think there was a red herring there

Again, speculation. I looked up some wiki between these ‘evil’ roles, two of them are fixers. Don’t know about the rest exactly, but there’s no way there’s no fabrication in one of the books.
