A possibility for him knowing something about you mechanically is that he is a mafia role that gives the compulsive commands to town roles that are of your type ("…Digits? Fingers? Index? I forgot the name). Achro was that as well

Achro is to my understanding, a proxy that seeks harm who do not follow the prescripts.

…wait. This statement implies that you think gummy is Mafia.
Because why else would you assume that Mafia used a Strongman Kill on Achro?
The only one whom we know was supposed to be blocked is gummy.

I was saying this mostly because we know Leafia was meant to be protecting Achro and Frost keeps going on about a strongman, I think a strongman kill makes sense on Achro in any universe as they’re a strong mafia player anyway so I was saying Frost’s world doesn’t have to rely on Gummy

Just so we’re completely on the same page about what I got, I literally just received feedback saying this ability failed on you! And it told me the entire ability, the ability that apparently failed on me was a redirect that has multiple clauses on how it can fail, and in the event it fails, the player the attempted redirect goes towards gets protected

Okay, so: For starters, I was not redirected. (Obviously.) However, there is now an alternative as to what happened to my action if I was not blocked: It might be delayed.
The issue is: I wouldn’t know whether I got blocked or targeted with [delay].

My assumption is that my theory that one of the books is a trap is correct because I can’t see why we’d have to investigate the books

Trapped how? Unless it involves a Mafia role’s ability, then I don’t see it coming from the game mechanic itself. 'cuz the OP said that the “bastard mechanics” in this game are simply “wacky and non-standard roles”, which is literally the norm for my games.

Okay not in the sense that I’m the person controlling Zone, in the sense that I also have an “unseen entity” that does things with my role that I have no control over

Never mind. He is not a quest-giver, but rather a quest-taker. (Either that, or a warlock.)
–point is: I don’t think he’s an Index? (Not sure why we are taking interest in this role type though. Frostwolf was interested in it as well, but I simply don’t see any benefits burning the Index’s Books.)

I think Rue is town due to handling pressure very calmly and not particularly pushing any agenda.

A possibity for Egg’s role, if mafia, is this: Egg knows all town members who are of your “clan”, who are forced to obey orders. Egg creates his own orders, and sends them out to you via the host. You must obey, and you probably receive some bonus or protection if you do, and punishment if you don’t. Subjective, as decided by Willow. Willow likes designing player freedom and subjective rewards. And Eggs is probably trying to push wolf agenda with that, by forcing you to vote Rue who I suspect is a villager.

This is just a far-fetched theory, I’m not married to it. I just suspect Egg independently, and this is one possibility of what’s happening

…I’ll be real here, I think that possibility is too far-fetched.
I am still not suspicious of EggYolk, though I do want to hear more from him.

I don’t know, I never thought that far into it, I just assumed one of these books will be bad for us overall since they all just seem like positives, like a too good to be true sort of situation
