The read I have on hippo is that up until their ability turned out to be a joke I was willing to believe they were town. The 180 from killing leafia to “lets not actually” has continued to read as a wolf that didn’t want to push a townie out so blatantly…I’ve said my peace about this in my earlier posts so I won’t rehash it.
They do seem almost offended though that I mindmelded with them and then decided not to trust them anyway, idk maybe that part is townie

the initial push on leafia read to me like going after known lhf and their reasoning on hippo is not convincing imo - no part of hippo dropping his fakeclaim reads like a wolf backing out to me when why would a wolf bring that up in the first place if they don’t have some way to commit to it
