Possible but if I was redirected at least, someone else would likely be dead. So we know it’s unlikely to be that and Hippo hasn’t been talking like he’s bulletproof so leaning yowards that not being the case. If Chomps is a wolf, Hippo is 100% his partner too. Especially with Hippo’s attempt to save him and prevent town from getting any info.
