i do have solid lore knowledge but was basically not relying on flavor cheffing at all
+respect
A few key points on the mechanics:
-
The thing the town most underestimated was anticlaim. An implication of it existed within the OP, but this was disregarded during later mechanical discussion. If the wolves successfully guessed a player’s role, they gained access to that player’s Witch ability, which was typically designed to counter their own role.
-
Wolves had access to the abilities of their fakeclaims, so it was impossible to solve the game by roles. I decided which fakeclaims went to the wolves randomly, and likely would have only rerolled for the Vigilante and possibly the Innocent Child. (Though, as written, it only reveals that the owner is the Innocent Child, not that they are town, so I may have tried to pass a wolf Innocent Child had the dice landed that way.)
-
I had forgotten to send Leafia the Witch’s Kiss corresponding to her own Witch role, which was my only error during this game. This Kiss specifically corresponded with her own character’s Witch, Charlotte, so the fact that it did not come from Chomps could have been solved via flavor.
-
With optimal play except for a Loop 1 Vigilante claim and no social reads, the village had around a 30% chance of winning this game, which is around the chances of 9v2 mountainous.
rip
because i deffo hard outed that leafia targeted herself
yep
And Homura was just an ordinary player who signed up on an alt and forgot about the game. I did not instantly force replace them, as they asked for some grace if they missed a 24-hour confirmation window, but after 48 hours I began looking for a replacement, as I could not contact them through Discord.
lul
if it wasn’t clear i knew that all along lel
it was a useful tool tho so shoutout to whoever that was
What was the blackmail lmao
Beancat going to arrive any second now
which is something i was playing into, yeah
My error probably had some impact on the game, given that having an extra day phase to discuss the Witch’s Kiss could have allowed players to realize that it was Charlotte’s. For that I apologize. However, it does not seem like something that would have changed the game’s outcome.
madoka (me)
Could it only target dead players?
rolling bmer in 2026 had me like
oh no it could target anybody
we just holstered it first loop and n1 of second loop
more useful later on
we almost got a free willow lynch off of it which was nice
and even if we didn’t we didn’t figure we’d lose enough capital to be worth not trying for (this was a correct judgement)
Could you have just kept it on same person?
