I’m still thinking through things and I tossed the idea around of there being no mafia in my head but like what if the mafia are the people we killed the first time around - now?

what if there weren’t any mafia at the start and being voted off turned you into a mafia member?

at best I think you could argue something like “homura was scum but willow isn’t” and that would explain the announcement without technically violating the rules of the game

how would that work? unsure

but i’m not coming up with very many other ways that alignments cannot change and we won’t be lied to directly in non-italics that could result in at least beancat not being guaranteed town
