update: gonna scrap that. its too limiting, and ultimately it ends up too subjective on what changes “baseline” rules when we are imagining “magic”

instead, i will just individually tinker with every ability to try to not make it unfun/broken. that will be better i think

so the only 2 rules set in stone remain:

  • can’t influence opponent magic detection ability (ur ability can’t be hidden)
  • can’t team up with other players and exchange information

im gonna do this:

the duels between players will be in private PMs, to let players keep their secrets. ill invite spectators and dead players to those threads so they can see what happened
