Atlas is such a red herring. Everyone thinks you’re evil, perhaps even the audience, but you’re actually tragically misunderstood and you’ve been working in the heroes’ interests all along. The actual villains perpetuate this because… I dunno, for some reason. You live until the end, and you might even be the heroic protagonist, although even if you aren’t, you’ll be instrumental somehow.
