its not necessarily a bad thing.
it kinda shows me that if you can prove you have this ability that as a player you decided to forfeit one of your own abilities.

I understand that, but I don’t agree. That role is perfectly balanced as a town role, but would be unfun to play against as a mafia role. The fact that he has that as town is not at all an indicator of what the mafia might have.

There are mechanical things that are alignment indicative, but I don’t believe the meowl announcement was one of them.
