first post feels like a generically scummy opener - immediately latching on to a mechanical discussion where it’s easy to have a substance-free opinion with no stakes in it, and the immediate reads there feel like he was just rattling off names rather than having real thoughts

I mean if you want me to elabourate I have more time at my PC to type out a longer sentence now.

Tutuu could easily be bullshitting the mechanical stuff as a wolf. I know from experience that it’s very easy to be genuinely frustrated discussing things you care about as a wolf as much as it is as a town. I just choose to believe that someone trying to discuss how they will play the game in a town way and getting frustrated that people don’t get it to be a towny course of action.

For the same reason I am townreading altina for the time being. This one is not a read that will stick, it’s very easy to be NAI when it comes to discussing things that you care about and things that seem to be of genuine emotional attachment rather than something that will progress the game, easy to discuss without really thinking about what your alignment actually is.

It’s naturally just easier and smoother to talk about things like this, than it is to lie and say you think someone is wolfy when you know they’re not in your actual mafia team and aren’t wolves so we’ll see if tuutuu and altina can do things that endear themselves to the game that aren’t simply being passionate about FM as a game.

Hazard…I forgot why I liked hazard, I know I did. It counts for something that I did.

in fam5, where he was wolf, he repeatedly refused to make reads until towards the end of the game on accounts of it being a mash and there being too many people to read. which yes i acknowledge that was a mash but fromthe 2 posts i saw from jarek here seem like he’s in a different meta rn

To be fair there were 100+ people or something, I’m not going to discourage you from trusting me but my performance in FAM games is particularly poor in general so please do bear that in mind

pandora feels very naturally and authentically pandora from my experience with her, it entered thread fairly early rather than putting it off, is focusing on things that I feel like pandora would naturally focus on, it seems comfortable in thread, etc. It’s not a hard townread but I solidly like her for now

Could you walk me through this read a bit, speaking from an outsider’s perspective who isn’t familiar at all with pandora’s playstyle or yours? I recall pandora quote-wallposting a little bit earlier but can’t really recall anything alignment-indicative she’s actually done, and I feel like this read is a little tautological (“pandora’s natural, she is focusing on things she would focus on, feels comfortable ITT”) .

Same here - Chomps has posted several one liners and hasn’t made any real impression on me thus far besides fluff posting.

A little weak but I like how May put T3RMINATOR on their wolfread list but then came to a different conclusion at the end. Wolf May is likely more static, more concerned about making that wolfread look good, and likely feels pressured to have a clear cut wolfread after catching up?

Tautological is an accurate representation of the read tbh. It’s pure meta, pure “pandora is acting like I expect her to act”, I don’t think I have much to say about her that holds water outside of my head. She’s not acting weird. Her reads tend to feel weird to me when she’s a wolf

Also getting some of this; this game feels like one where everyone’s going to some sort of Light Townread and the actual wolves/PoE is going to be a little annoying to find.

This type of gamestate merits a lot of rereading and tracking what people are doing to keep those Light Townreads consistently up, so I’ll try to shake things out here on a later day.

I can accept the pandora read.

I like this sequence, Chomps is known to instantly hardclaim a role in BotC every game (where the setup is semi-open so roleclaims are simple) but I don’t know him to be the type to do so as wolf in FM where fakeclaims need creativity, he didn’t claim his potentially-clearing role in Kakegurui until his town counterpart was dead

I have a really not that crackpot theory that the mark of whatever it is that was announced SOD was due to a neutral ability. I think that ability with wolf teammates assisting in solving who the target might end up being would be quite powerful, and lead to an unfun experience where the game randomly ends if it’s real.

If the person who has this ability is actually a neutral then even the mafia don’t know if it’s real and won’t be so likely to assume it is.

honestly “revealed as a hero” doesnt even necessarily have to be alignment indicative, it could just be a power up

hero could be wolf if it powers them up in some way, especially if they dont announce it what they may have gotten, but I am not certain that hosts just give a wolf a straight up, “reveal as town” ability, even if in this case its a bit unambiguous, again, one step at at time

The announcement has no confirmation about their alignment or the mechanics of their role, and this is a bastard game. For all we know, it could have been a wolf modposter that said that.
