An idea. Noe that we know the “Damsel” thing came from town, we can make the read that people that had an unlikely reaction to it could be mafia. Because they knew they didn’t do it, but they wanted to pretend they didn’t know mafia did it. To avoid showing TMI. I suspected catbae D1 for a reaction to the Damsel that I found unlikely

I am suspicious of catbae for pretending to be shocked something needs to be ‘approved’ in a game that was publicly declared to be bastard. I think hosts can do whatever they want in bastard games by definition, plus I find it odd that catbae isn’t expressing skepticism that the message is real.

I think he expressed skepticism later since I skimmed the posts before I started posting.

My point is that his claim that he is “shocked” is a lie. I don’t believe that he got shocked. He is a forum mafia veteran.

For someone who’s not actively trying to solve, a publicly announced anti-town ability is going to be assumed to come from non-town.It being from town is an unnatural conclusion that is easier to reach if you’re legitimately trying to solve.

If that happened, we can safely deduce catbae is mafia. Because:

1. He tried to dissuade a villager (gummy) from townreading another villager (Memeking) (Gummy was using FAM5 meta) by arguing that comparing mash and normal games isn’t correct (Memeking town due to Littens win condition being questionable if he subbed into a wolf slot)

Then,

2. He tried to shade me (a villager) for sheeping Litten (a villager) by using the exact opposite argument. He is arguing by using FAM5 meta comparison himself. (“Wolves did this to Litten in FAM5 so tutuu might be doing the same here”). He is using the same argument to push two different things, both to the detriment of town agenda. (This is assuming Im not misremembering if he did the first thing here)

the mechanicl discussion is whatever and NAI imo- both sides like talking about mech but i don’t think they were just rattling off names for the sake of it? oftentimes whenever i post a reads list im too lazy to fully explain my reads/i don’t necessarily want to explain why i townread someone for fear of someone else copying them so i just post a barebones list until i have more time/energy

also this is more silly but he sounded like benguined when he said “wow this is easy” and benguined oftentimes says “wow this towning shit is easy” when he’s actually town

in fam5, where he was wolf, he repeatedly refused to make reads until towards the end of the game on accounts of it being a mash and there being too many people to read. which yes i acknowledge that was a mash but fromthe 2 posts i saw from jarek here seem like he’s in a different meta rn

obviously the content of the discussion itself is NAI, but i think sometimes in mafia games you get a sense even from theoretically irrelevant discussions that people are coming at it from a town perspective - and i think in particular tutuu talking about his role the way he did and it fueling him saying “don’t trust any mech” is way more likely to be town - in theory he could be mafia doing it for cred, but i don’t really believe that to be all that likely

i’m not at like locktown levels of confidence on Altina, but II think she’s a bad Day 1 wagon unless there’s a solid case against her and i’m not really seeing that, at all - the reasons for voting her so far are not that good imo

trying to compare meta off a single game from a mash to a normal, even a large one, is not something i would do, ever

idc what he was like in fam tbh, i barely read his stuff and miscleared him for the investigative claim which was well done, but i’m not really going to factor any of that in

i think doing meta off a single game is pretty likely to get you burned
