Just to elabourate on my catbae vote they went from saying they liked my posts to not liking my posts to liking my posts to not liking my posts to voting me at what felt like a breakneck speed for having a read.
I don’t feel like you go from “I trust this” to “I want to vote this” within 2 posts, personally.

ill go into more details on Catbae once I figure its relevant, but
- I dont think they ever die day 1, unless FoL decides to do FoL things
- I’ve never once, at least I think, seen them live past night 1 as town

i cant give an opinion on jarek meta because i don’t really know it that well
i reread it and my good feeling about that post in particular is gone and replaced with a neutral feeling
that said, i do like the fact that he believes his read was misinterpreted/misrepresented slightly that he clarified just now (1363) because it gives at least a bit of evidence that the read had basis that was in his mind when he made it
i currently have jarek as a town lean but im not fighting to convince you of that at the moment, im just poking into your thought process
I think Gummy is town. Compare their behavior in FAM5 d1 to here. They sprouted out reads like “Leafia town, carbonated town” with very actual little reasoning behind them. Compare it to here where they state they will make reads and then struggle to actually make any novel reads (when it would be trivially easy to just go find some random villager and make up a competent sounding reason as to why they are town) and complain about people who they believe want novel reads. I do think that their behavior this game will either reaffirm this read or disprove it later on though

Honestly I think that kind of wavering is a good reason to have them as town, than anything.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but I skimmed the town games that gummy linked me and they did indeed constantly promise reads early in both, so my earlier suspicion on them has no weight.

Well see this goes into the territory of how good I believe a player is and how I believe a player should be acting based on my arbitrary belief of their skill level so it’s really…subjective.
I’ve done the same thing i’ve flip flopped my read on people as I read their iso and posts. I don’t scumread myself for it, I don’t even expect other people to scumread me for it, because I’m kinda meh at this game.
Someone else like catbae, I believe to be good at this game so subjectively I expect a more refined read process that doesn’t involve wanting me dead to never wanting me to die ever within the process of 5 minutes.
When you put it like that yes I can see it being town - Backwater goofbrained belief that better player = magically knows everything quicker be damned

ive been thinking and my role is actually great
if my reads are right i feel super proud of myself
if my reads are wrong then i get wolfread and get mechanical benefit
its a win/win and i’m all here for it
i havent ever seen them as wolf, only townie so i actually dont have a reference point like you do.

but also ur problem was letting them live to w/e was lylo may it be F9 or something smaller, because if Gira is that bad or not dead, there is pretty high chance they are just a wolf.
