• With Wisp/Altina and catbae, pretty content to like just interact with them a lot D1 to get a clear sense of how they’re approaching the game and then trying to narrow down their alignment on subsequent days when we have flips. I forgot how to read Wisp and he’s gotten so much better as a mafia player since I’ve last played with him regularly, and if catbae is a wolf I’m not going to get there on him until much, much later in the game.

I will say that both of them being kinda floaty and not really trying to push agenda or direction early on gives me like the slightest positive indicator for both of them since I feel like they would have some internal pressure to lead as wolf, but that’s a really loose read.

Because I cannot read him on my own, I will sheep Wisp, catbae, tutuu, and Hippo on their strong Frostwolf town reads.

Now of course I am not pointing his reads are accurate or not, but taking on legacy at face value entirely not too much and that is fine. Only few people do understand the commitment I put into are town aligned, and that’s also I can fake it as wolf.

catbae: Trusting Altina here mostly, the only way I get extremely hosed is if both are wolf. But overall he’s playing according to expectations where he’s posting decently nuanced takes on people’s alignments and prodding/poking people with sticks. Feels like he’s in the similar player archetype to myself if he’s town where he will either get stronger as the game goes on or die in the process, to which I can certainly let him work his magic since heaven knows I’ve been destroyed by him in multiple wolfgames I’ve played against him.

Frankly, I don’t believe Catbae is waste of space here, mafia will have to kill me to not keep him alive.

I haven’t really parsed his posts in detail yet but he seems fairly divisive and I know you thought he was town earlier. Do you still think that’s the case?

im not convinced Jarek is that townie anymore, but also my read was based a lot on my perception of them. Jarek once he had his transformation arc, had this holier than thou tone when he was town, like he would just kinda post what he felt like, and kinda just ignore the thread as a whole. I didnt have problems with their earlier posting because of that perception of them, but like their vote on u still felt slimy. that kinda omgusy reaction is something I think is more likely to come from wolf!jarek

The thing that’s throwing me in for a loop is that when asked, Memeking and Ash both refused to give wolfreads or play “conventionally” when pressured. I’m just here asking myself, is this just a wolf who’s frozen or is it town who genuinely doesn’t know who the wolves are?

If snowe is wolf and T3R is town, I’ll take responsibility for tilting the wagons here towards T3R. I thought she was a wolf earlier on in the day and she still hasn’t really posted anything that I would consider to be very villagery from her.

I trust snowe if she’s town to be a very solid asset against the wolves more than T3R, though. That’s my tiebreaker.

I can forgive him for not pushing Snowe’s wagon.

Like, I actively was trying to route conversation regarding Tutuu back on topic, I don’t think t!Tutuu was a read that came out of nowhere and was heavily implied by my approach to that wagon, my Gummy comment was a product of both me feeling that Tutuu was obviously town judging from threadstate and from Rue’s post noting that Gummy was just reiterating other people’s reads, and I dropped Liattac being Carbon after both Gummy and Carbon pointed out that it probably wasn’t.

i think the lack of paranoia toward his voters feels kind of unnatural where normally i expect town toi have more suspicion there? i dunno, my gut impulse is it comes across as not wanting to spew but i can’t tell if i’m conf biasing that read or not

Kelsier, Hazard, Litten, T3M were all part of my PoE yesterday and they just all died and flipped town.

This strongly suggests to me that I’m dealing with a poisoned PoE and I’ll need to take a step back and re eval things.

I have a lot of regrets with how D1 ended but I’m gonna try and focus up and not be just an active asset to the wolves, of which I believe I was EoD1 (and especially in the world where snowe is wolf).

objectively I haven’t led to a solve yet and anything else would be self meta. if you’re knowledgable of your meta then you can theoretically break it in specific ways to achieve maximum effect. providing it also provides cover for doing so, since you can go “look, I’m not acting like I usually am. here’s where i said how i usually act” i hate self meta i’m the websites number one self meta hater

She’s also thinking about the game a bit more holistically and a bit more fleshed-out in this game than in the wolf one, and I kinda like how she got snippy with Wisp about hating self meta and how she disliked answering his question.

Idk, maybe Wisp looked at different games I was looking at, maybe this wolf game of hers is super old and she’s grown more as a player, but I’m getting the opposite conclusion here. I think pandora is more townie due to the meta dive.

catbae is difficult because like. I think by his own admission he hasn’t invested as much time into this game as he normally does. The question I’m asking myself is, is he town who just is having an off game or is he just a wolf?

The vibe I’m getting from his posts today feels similar to my own wolf game, where I’m not particularly enjoying it but just going through the paces.

Also he just hasn’t really… reached out to me or talked about my slot other than saying it’s town, and it feels eerily similar to what I did to him in MHA mafia where I kind of just slotted him as town to placate him and tried to defend myself from his attacks. To be fair I can’t recall the last game I played with town!catbae, but I feel like if he was town here he would use me as a sounding board or try to work with me more than he has right now.

That is not 100% admission, I believe also at the bottom from that quote, he is willing to work out with me on the NPC hood, only because I get to keep pressing him hehe

I have given snowe multiple opportunities to defend herself and to produce content today; I went out of my way to ask her specific questions to help her get caught up and address concerns of mine. She answered one of those questions in a way that will make me need to evaluate her posts to see how she acted around Rue D1, and hasn’t answered the rest and hasn’t posted in the past 12 hours. I think this is possibly a wolf who has gotten tired of posting and wants out (see: me in MHA Mafia Day 4, where I basically just gave up on posting because I was tired of Keeping Up the Facade).

With catbae, I was relying on Wisp to read him for most of Day 1 as the past three or four games I have played with him, he was a townie eviscerating my wolfteam and I was a wolf. (Hydra game, FAM 2, MHA). This is the first game to my knowledge where I genuinely do not know his alignment. Due to me relying on Wisp (and Wisp saying that he was likely town on in D1) I was playing fairly hands off with him.

Come D2, I saw him admit “I have not been putting in a lot of effort into this game”, saw him push pandora, and then leave. This had me believe that he was playing similarly as I do as a wolf, which is going through the motions and putting in the minimum amount of effort to win.

Earlier on today, I looked over pandora’s meta and came to the conclusion that she was likely town, due to having more nuanced thoughts on the game state and being slightly more inquisitive this game than in her wolfgame. I became more comfortable with the idea that catbae was likely a wolf, as he is continuing to push people who I think are town.

Also, I have been out for the majority of today. This wagon on catbae started in the afternoon and I saw tutuu’s post about it and thought it could be potentially clearing for tutuu if catbae flipped wolf, which is why I pointed it out. So if you think “proph could be watching as people vote catbae” – yes, I think both Snowe and catbae are wolves and as a result had little objection to his wagon.

My suggestion, is to keep prompting him to play. Not waiting out and get disappointed by lack of progress. Nonetheless…the summary may have fair ground to pressure Catbae, the underline also cut off talking about Pandora and return to Catbae, it’s fair to say that they are not aligned.

However, that’s barely foundation to push Catbae into the execution because his reads aren’t great and do rely on Altina (not 100%) and put out the summary in general what he gathered so far, as Catbae mentioned, the pushes today has no real reason other than legacy, whom fail to quote it (I haven’t seen the responses while I am making this)

Apparently someone thought it was genius idea to poison the ‘evil’ king NPC, Chomps fell victim to the poison shortly after being infiltrated by Cattails V, whom Cattails IV is known as the good king. Meowl is another NPC and Lilith.

obviously the blessing thing is his role regardless of alignment and given that it’s already claimed he’s gonna play it towards town regardless of his alignment

O kazo wasn’t claiming to give out the blessing, only to be immune to it, but snowe missed that entirely. I don’t really see any way to misinterpret the post as giving out the blessing, either. I think this indicates the blessing is probably given out by a village role, since she interpreted O kazo as claiming it?
