Chloe is too busy to wallpost rn but my post is more targeted towards the people who join games knowing they might not have a lot time, then sub out
It’s also targeted towards people who join the game solely to shoot the shit with friends, without much intent to actually play towards their win condition

I really just… want people to try to win the game? If that means you’re quiet while town implodes, sure, do that. If that means you’re quiet while you wait for lowposters to make their slots solveable, and you’ve already said all you can about other things, that’s valid! There’s only so much you can do if others aren’t posting
But if you aren’t putting in effort to solve or trick people, you aren’t playing, and what’s the point in joining a mafia game if you aren’t going to play mafia

I’m kinda just asking for the bare minimum from people, because it feels like we often don’t even get that
We tell people that mafia is a game and you don’t need to take it so seriously that it affects your mental health or ruins your schedule, and that’s true
But you also do need to treat it like a game and do your part to win

not only like a game but like a team game i feel like a lot of people forget that sometimes

there’s a different level of obligation given the fact that there are other people in the game who care about winning the game

and if you don’t care about winning the game and play like it then that’s going to impact their chances of winning the game and quite frankly that sucks to play with

like i’d consider myself more of a tryhard than the average player but i feel like theres a reasonable minimum of “trying to win the game” you can expect from players and its frustrating when people dont meet that threshold

I’m just hoping we can shift our mindsets to treating mafia like the game of social deduction and deception that it is, and commit to putting in effort when we sign up

If you already do this, then this post isn’t really directed towards you
I just want people who this applies to to realize it and try to change

Ah. It is at moments like these when some parts of me shines the most. When there is nothing left to lose, there can only be things to gain. Start asking everyone for reads and who they wish dead after our own death. Gather every logic, every interaction, every memory, and form our own reads based on them. And afterwards? Pray for death. Pray that nobody townreads us to delay our own death. (End our suffering.)

If playerlist has a lot of slankers on i just dont sign up. Id like to see hosts be less afraid of having personal blacklists and cooldowns for people who consistently under deliver on what they expect from players who signup.

I’d love to blacklist players! …if I could afford to do so. My games tend to have many players’ disinterest, so I often end up taking anyone who are willing to join.
(Meh. Even if we -Zones- are to blacklist players, we probably have less than three people in them, considering those whom we had a beef with in the past are not even allowed to be on FoL anymore.)
