Choose a player. The 1st time you choose that player, learn if they have any Efloresced E.G.O. or Psychoment abilities. The 2nd time, learn a redacted version of each Effloresced E.G.O. or Psychoment ability they have, and they gain its effects early (if applicable).

Day 1 End of Day Flavor:
TABOO
Part of how the Head cultivates the City’s ecology is through the application of Taboos. Here are just some of the means by which the Age of Humanity is maintained. We have designed them to maximise freedom for all human residents of the City.
Taxation and Patent Regulations - Enforced by the Executioners of the Claw, failure to report Singularity-level technologies to A. Corp is punishable by fines, escalating upwards to death. Similarly, tax evasion is not permitted within the City. After all, our business tax rates are remarkably genorous.
Resurrection - Resurrection is legal within the City. However, attempts to revive the body following the destruction of more than 50% of brain matter constitutes a Taboo - consequently, death retains its’ meaning for residents of the City.
Cloning - Cloning technologies, such as that used by R. Corp Mercenary Solutions, are permitted under regulation. However, cloned biological matter must be disposed of within seven A. Corp standard timescale days. The Eye closely monitors all companies involved in biomedical research closely. Human life has meaning. And that meaning cannot be truly replicated.
The Night In The Backstreets - Dissemination of visual or auditory recordings regarding any activities between the hours of 3:14 AM and 4:34 AM is strictly forbidden, and will result in investigation and prosecution by the Claw. Written accounts or oral recountings of the Night in the Backstreets are permitted, but fines may be issued for excessive investigation.
Firearms - The Head understands the role of violence in the proper self-regulation of the City via Fixers and Syndicates. However, we believe that the weight of killing must be felt by all who experience it. Consequrently, strict regulations as to the distribution of firearms and munitions are in place. If you are a Workshop specialising in the manufacture of guns, please do not violate the regulations set out to you by your contacts at B. Corp or the Tres Association.
Governance - Sedition against the Head is not permitted. Attempts to investigate the identity of members of the Head will result in immediate designation as an Impuritas Civitatis, to be disposed of directly by a specially appointed Arbiter.
Non-Human Intelligence - A mind that is not born human can never become human, and must be extinguished. There are thoughts that only humans can be permitted to hold. This is our highest Taboo. Do not violate it. The Eye is watching.

“MONSTERS”
The City has always been awash with reports of monsters, beings that hunt upon the City’s denizens with impunity. Fear not. The Beholders of the Eye have assessed the majority of such cases, and have concluded that in only 30% of all instances, the reports are accurate. Even then, the existence of non-human beings within the City does not violate the Taboos - so long as they don’t think. We are not cruel. Humans need livestock to sustain themselves.
There are many kinds of beings that have been deemed monsters by the City’s residents - the Sweepers, the Whales and their Mermaids, the fused creatures on the shores of P. Corp’s territory, the Heishou Packs, and Bloodfiends. However, the three most notable kinds of “monster” are known as Abnormalities, Peccatula, and Distortions.
Abnormalities are [REDACTED], formed by the application of Cogito via the [REDACTED] to the [REDACTED] lobe, causing a rapid [REDACTED] leading to the victim [REDACTED], allowing for unprecedented [REDACTED] and power generation. This process is not reversible. Abnormalities cannot die. They can only be temporarily suppressed, due to [REDACTED]. Abnormalities are currently spread across most of the City, typically in close proximity to the [REDACTED], the remants of Lobotomy Corporation’s patented Singularity. Which is, of course, [REDACTED].
Distortions are more well-known as a phenomenon due to their recent and rapid spread throughout the City following the White Nights and Dark Days incident. The precise mechanisms of Distortion remain under investigation by the Hana and Seven assocations, but the general pattern is clear - a human in a state of mental distress encounters a mysterious voice, pressing from the core of their mind outwards. If they give in to this voice’s demands, they Distort, their internal psyche rapidly altering their appearance and characteristics as a maladaptive defense mechanism.
Some might wonder why we consider Distortions to not violate the Taboo against non-human intelligence. True, when the Pianist’s manifold arms spread wide across the territory of I Corp, inhumanly beautiful music dashing minds upon the cobbles and drawing everyone’s hearts into the Piano, it may seem hard to deem such a being “human”. But that which is born human shall always be human. And we can imagine nothing more suited for our City’s ecology than a way for passions to flare into physical space.
Besides, it’s not as though Distortion isn’t reversible.
Peccatula are the noxious byproducts of a “failed” Distortion. Those who simply collapse under stress without even the resolution to try and splatter their passions across the real world are reduced into animalistic beings, representations of Sin. Research is ongoing as to what Sin actually is.
It’s all so beautiful. What would humans be without something to struggle against?
