The masked man moved to look over the man in scale mail’s shoulder. “Unusual blade you have there,” he said in an even tone.

A child, probably one of his siblings, tugs at his tunic as he walks in the door. “Vinketo Vinketo did you hear about the DRAGON?”
“Not now, Evia–”
“Rabbit’s little sister told me he saw a REAL DRAGON in the woods!”
“She was probably exaggerating. There aren’t any real dragons in the woods. …Maybe in the forest, but they don’t come near our village.” He gives you a look as if to say ‘little kids, am I right?’, before attempting to make his way from the central kitchen/dining room/living space to the attached bedroom.
Are any celestial bodies other than the sun visible?
The moon is visible (and has been for a couple hours, even before sunset), but the stars won’t be out for another ~20 minutes

Arius’ eyes lit up upon hearing the mention of his sword. “Why thank you for noticing! It is quite a nice cutting tool, if I say so myself.” He chuckles, before inspecting his new conversation partner.
“You seem to be collecting some nice swords yourself. It’s not often that I meet people who use two swords– I assume one is a reserve sword then?” Arius asked with a confident smile.

He gives a conspiratorial look to Savil.
“Want any help with that?”

“Oh, yes, that would be great!” He frowns. “…Except, Messire Kaver would be mad if he knew what I told you…”
“Hardly. One is for my right-” The masked man held out one of the blades for the man to see (pommel facing Arius). It was a short sword, with a single edge and a thin hilt. “-and one is for my left.”
He held out his other blade. This one was a short dueling dagger, with a wide hilt. “Gives your opponent twice as much to overthink when you’re in a fight - I’ve found most people are curiously deficient in their ability to handle dual weapons, especially when compared to shield and single weapon combat. Which is fascinating when you consider the massive overlap between the styles. I think it has to do with the psychol-”
He paused, realizing that he hadn’t even introduced himself yet. “Er, anyways. I’m Drakor.”

“That’s fair. But consider this: the baron is likely an authority figure with a substantial base of power. Additional help, especially of the magical variety, is worth stepping on eggshells for.”
Arius laughs audibly. “The name’s Arius. Pleasure to meet ya.” He then raised his cards slightly up to get Drakor’s attention, before lowering them back downwards. “Are you up for a round? Games are always more fun when played with more people.”
(“And I would like to not be the only loser today”, he thinks to himself.)

He nods. “What are you offering?”
Drakor chuckled. “If they’ll let me. I’ve been kicked out of a few gambling establishments before.”
He glanced curiously at the other players.

(I’m assuming this game has some amount of bluffing involved?
(Or is it pure chance?)
((I think it’s something like poker. Part luck for your given cards / hands, part skill for reading your opponents’ facial and body expressions.))

“I suppose I am offering direct aid with your mission.” He scratches his chin. “I am skilled in social matters in addition to being a Cleric of Pulura.”
“Oh, right. Most people care about payment. I don’t?”
[It’s mixed bluff + chance. Not literally exactly poker, but the same general genre.]
[I am assuming you guys don’t want to play out literally an entire game of Fake Poker, so my inclination is to resolve who wins by rolling a combined bluff/sense motive check (this isn’t, like, exactly a thing that exists RAW, but basically what I’m imagining is, roll a single d20, add your Bluff modifier, add your Sense Motive modifier), unless someone has an Alternative Suggestion]
