2 questions re: Drakor’s attack:
- would he, as his move action for the turn, switch his Studied Target to the boggard he’s attacking?
- would he be attacking with Power Attack?
2 questions re: Drakor’s attack:
ok, Squirrel was online but I think maybe left, based on my best guess as to what Squirrel would have otherwise declared I’m going to say yes Studied Target, no Power Attack
which hits! (barely)
1, 1
for 7 points of damage in total
Drakor’s attack barely hits, slicing through the boggard’s leather armor and striking him cleanly in the chest.
yes to studied target, no to power attack
Boggard 1, still dazed, stands there slack-jawed as the fight rages on around him, struggling to blink away his momentary disorientation.
Boggard 2 hops away in fright as carefully as he can manage under the circumstances [takes the Withdraw action]. It’s clear that the swamp isn’t interfering with his movements, but it does seem like he’s a bit slower than a human would be even so.
(wouldn’t studied target make it 8?
2 from the roll, 2 from BAB, 3 from strength, 1 from studied)
(BAB adds to to-hit but not to damage)
(so it’s 2 from the roll, 4 from strength (1.5*3 rounded down, since you’re using a 2-handed weapon), 1 from Studied Target)
(i’m starting to see why martials tend to get left behind late-game)
so I think that’s actually not it! well-built high-level martials are still great at doing single-target damage, the problem is just… everything else
(well, and lategame casters can also, like, turn into dragons, if they feel like doing a lot of damage to one target)
(wait i can what screw that other part)
As soon as Canary starts speaking, Paprika whips her gaze around to the nearby boggard and stares it down – pulling from a well of resentment and malice, stirring it up and pouring it into her gaze – and visually combs it for the effects of magic. And something does happen after Canary’s chant finishes: the boggard goes slack-jawed and starts stumbling around stupidly, then makes the mistake of catching her eye – she stabs that evil forward.
Between that stupid expression and how easily it fell into that spell and its idiotic companion fleeing as soon as Wanderer acted and Canary rushing into battle because she’s convinced she can hide her magic from me of all people, it’s all so funny…
Rika cackles sadistically.
(other people can feel free to presubmit actions if they so desire)
(stab the guy that’s directly infront of me)
(Diagonal down left of Zelsh cast guidance on Zelsh)
((Preset action Arius: Move up-right twice; Cast 10ft square Grease, with Boggard 1 being inside the bottom-left corner of the area.))
