[RP] Play-By-Post Pathfinder

(That was one of the books that had been recently disturbed, right?)

(But we dont know that it was necessarily bought by the Baron - Drakor is saying that somebody else probably bought it bc of the gorumites in town)

“I have not heard anything about any cult activities,” Arius says with a raised eyebrow.

((FTR, the same applies to me. I have yet to read any of that.))

((Aha. Understood. o7))
((I was missing the context, so it sounded as if you had a personal grudge on Eskil Dalin –and that was only when you mentioned the baron in-post-but-outside-speech.))

Arius is confused about the part about ‘looking into the Gorumites’, but he will ignore it and move on to the conversation about the Urgathoa worshippers.

“Wanderer was talking about it earlier,” Drakor said. “Basically some people found a weird symbol made with blood in a cellar.”

(Aha.) “Come to think of it, I guess he did say that, yes.” Arius nods sideways.

“I don’t know what the symbol in the cellar looks like, but while the symbols at the hospital were also red… Those ones were painted in, well, red paint; not blood.”

Drakor frowned. “Hmm… how old were the ones at the hospital? And did you notice anything else while you were there?”

(Sounds good to me.)

Zelsh was on his third plate by now and really enjoying the food.

“I’m afraid I don’t know how old the paint was, though I can at the very least say they were not a recent addition.”

“As for anything peculiar… I suppose I could have sworn the symbol of Urgathoa was drawn upside-down compared to the ones I saw.”

“Besides that though, I sensed two entities who were under the spell of Gaseous Form. I was uncertain how many creatures truly reside in the abandoned hospital, but Wanderer and I opted to remove ourselves from the vicinity.”

Drakor’s hand subconsciously moved to his warhammer. “That is concerning. Do you think these creatures could be a threat to the city?”

Canary follows their conversation with her eyes.

(Should drakor get involved in a conflict with high level casters in a city he doesnt even live in? No)

(Will he? …we’ll find out)

“I agree that it may be an issue. What is best should be determined on a case by case basis. Maybe a particular street in New Stetven can undergo widening without significant changes? There are several options available.”

He pauses.

“What has been going on with New Stetven anyway?”

“It would be more odd if they couldn’t be.” The same could be said for anyone with great power, but Arius will let Drakor interpret his words as the half-orc wishes.

“I see.” Drakor said. “Did any of them see you?”

He moved his hand away from the warhammer, but he clearly was on edge.

“Not as far as I could tell. Still, if we are to… ‘investigate’ the abandoned hospital, then I suggest we do it with… utmost caution.”

Drakor nodded and began idly began loading his sling. “If it came down to it, do you think we can take them?”

Take them where? On a date? Or- Oh. OH.

((UHHHH IDK.))

((As a player, I don’t think it makes sense to fight any entity who can use Lv3 spells when the party is still at Lv2. Maybe if they are Vampire Spawns, but even then that’s a stretch.))

((However, as Arius…))
((*checks Magus Spells*))
((Oh. There we go.))

Arius ponders for a moment before answering: “Despite our recent improvement in gear, I believe we are still severely ill-equipped and inexperienced to even entertain the idea of standing a chance against them.”

((I don’t know if I’d have to roll to see whether Arius knows about Vampire Spawn, and I don’t even dare to ask Arete. Spawn or not; we ain’t dealin’ with creatures of that level.))

Drakor set his sling back on his belt. “Very well. I think our best course of action then would be to contact the local militia and inform them. Do you think they are an imminent threat?”
