I flinch back. That was too forceful. “…I’m sorry. Are you… Alright? Are you trying to tell me something? Did I…”
“…Cause you weren’t projecting as much confidence when you said that. You were hesitating. Was that supposed to be another clue?” Think. Think. “Did I… mess up?”
I dig the nail of my right thumb into my same middle finger. I’m sure that wasn’t true. But- I don’t wanna fail. And I’m probably making her uncomfortable.
If this were a proper confrontation, it’d be so much easier.

Arius notices the irritation coming from Rika, but doesn’t think much of it. He listens to her talk, along with Canary’s adventure of the day.
(I don’t mind if you’re going to do your own thing, but where does that exactly leave the rest of us? Canary can be your val-something, but that still leaves us with five people with no plans as far as I’m aware of.)
(Hm… I vaguely remember something about a Sacred Warrior. I suppose I might as well go around and ask people where that guy is.)

A subtle smile makes its way across Paprika’s face as she hears Canary make her deductions out loud.
“Clerics of Nethys can cast Arcane Mark.” Paprika adds. “My goddess grants me this ability as well.”
“My mother believes I should be exactly like her. A seamstress who social climbs and finds herself a wealthier husband. She can’t work or travel anymore, so now I bring in all the money, and studying is supposedly a waste.”
“I told you why I can cast magic. I showed you it. Tell me about yourself.”

hmm, knowing things about clerics is normally k religion but Arcana seems legit here, I think you know that clerics of Nethys get a couple spells that are commonly wizard spells (like Arcane Mark and Fox’s Cunning)
