[RP] Play-By-Post Pathfinder

The spider advances angrily on Bugibugi, hissing madly as it waves its legs in his direction. It bites down hard on his feet, sinking its fangs straight through his boots, and this time, he can feel its poison worming its way into his body, sapping his strength.

(take 4 regular damage, and 2 strength damage!)

Mechanics

This turn was much the same as the spider’s last, but with one major exception: Bugibugi failed his saving throw. This means he experiences the effect of the spider’s poison. He will have to keep making saving throws each turn until he either succeeds at a saving throw, curing the poison (more potent poisons might require more than 1 successful save), or the duration of the poison expires. In this case, the poison takes the form of ability damage – ability damage is temporary, and can be healed over time with rest at a rate of 1 point of ability damage per day (faster with treatment and/or relevant magic), but it is somewhat harder/slower to cure ability damage than to heal hit points.

“…Vin, while I understand that you are too young to realize this on your own, please understand that the world is not just about you.”

“There have been many married men in the past who died because of falling logs like this one, but it isn’t as if these heavy woods can’t kill women and children.”

((Assuming no checks are needed… We can probably go back to the village after loading up the logs to the handcart.))
((I thought we were chopping softwoods like pine, but considering we chopped oak… We most likely need to make multiple trips to carry all these logs to the blacksmith.))

“Twelve crowns. I bought it from an adventurer who passed through a few months ago – he specialized in hunting troublesome fey, and most of them are protected somewhat from ordinary metals.”

Bugibugi swings at the spider with his lucerne hammer, but despite the spider’s enormous size, it’s quite agile – it manages to duck to the side as the lucerne hammer whooshes past its head.

(is there anything else you want to do with your turn?)

((oh wait does the saving throw for poison curing occur at the start of my turn? if so i get +1 on my attack roll))

no wait

I think each instance of the poison happens on the spider’s turn (but a 12 wouldn’t have hit its AC anyway)

“Oh?” Drakor said, examining the mace more closely. “You’re saying this will harm fey?”

“Most of them, at least. The blade is cold iron – it takes a talented weaponsmith to forge weapons at such temperatures, but it’s invaluable against the fey.”

((does me succeeding in the fortitude save means i just stop taking ticking poison from that instance of poison, and i keep the earlier -2 STR, or does it fully cure the -2 STR?))
