Considering your experience as a tracker, it’s easy for you to spot signs of the horse’s passage and point them out to Wanderer.

You keep following the trail, and when you reach the next farming village, Raven’s Nest, the last village before Hazel Ford, you notice that the tracks aren’t continuing south towards Hazel Ford, but rather winding into the village itself.

(Do I have to make another check)

(no, you can let your last check ride)

Canary collapses onto the floor at the sight of the town.

Then gets up.

Then falls again.

Then finally stabilises in place.

Wanderer will follow the tracks.
He doesn’t even know why he’s doing this at this point, but he will succeed!

Canary follows after Wanderer, as she’s been doing for… a… while.

(is there a map of the roads in and out of Raven’s Nest?)

Lionel will still follow Wanderer. Surely this will lead to the end of the situation!

(it looks like it has a palisade, with a gate to the north and a different gate to the south. The village is technically off of the path you’ve been following, but it’s not, like, hard to access)

Like Granite Hill, Raven’s Nest is a little farming village, but it’s far from an exact copy of Granite Hill. It doesn’t seem like the village has much of anything resembling an inn at all, and based on the pictures on the signs, the largest building in town apparently belongs to a cobbler of all professions. This far from Granite Hill, the village does have its own cleric rather than relying on Agneta; from the bow hanging above the village’s only temple, you’d guess they’re a cleric of Erastil.

The tracks lead to an unassuming house, on the smaller side, with a white horse with black speckles tied out in front of it.

(we’re at the north gate, right?)

(You’d guess so)

(You’re entering through the north gate, yeah. The house is on the west side of the village.)

(is the horse by the gate?)

(nvm misread)

“Someone should secure the horse.” Drakor said as he approached the house. “She can’t get far on foot.”

He reached into his backpack and withdrew a warhammer and a sling, then tucked both on his belt. He moved his blades to his pack.

(the horse isn’t by the gate to the village, it’s by a house in the village)
