btw is the “when it is likely they lose” evaluated based exclusively on their own position in the dance list
e.g. a blackmailer bot would only decline a dance challenge vs a somehow-confirmed musician (or similarly somehow-guranteed losses)
or does it have like. a specific criteria

also i realize that there isn’t actually any specified method for obtaining gifts

also this is dumb and it should just be announced as if the actual maa killed them, with no mention of it actually being a soldier counterattack

nvm im lying

If they lost a dance/duel to that person or thare is a chain of challenges, were the person was definetly above them in challenges in the ranking. (Other roles might skew the results, but these bots take the results as face value, and if there are two person with different result on the same challenge, they will disregard those challenges, for the purpose to determinate, who is they are likely to lose against.)

These are not clever bots. They can see only the players can see. (otherwhise it would be unfair against the real players, these are just placeholders, to fill up the game, if needed, so the game doesn’t feel “empty”.)

Take it as a nerf for the Soldier. Also (since Soldier doesn’t turn into the MAA) people shouldn’t guess the Soldier as the MAA this way.

You always got a gift for a challenge you participated in, but you needed to decide during Dinner phase what gifts you wanted to get, and gift reserve was limited to 3.
Now all of your gifts are (technically) gift reserves, and there is no lottery ticket to double your gained gifts.

Please, choose a mask.

Game will start 2025-11-19T23:00:00Z around 2025-11-20T12:00:00Z

As of now we will have 6 “bots”.
The reserved spots will still randed, but they won’t exist until the people with the reserved spots turn up. (They will have time until the end of Dinner phase 1 to do so.) After Dinner Phase 1, those spots will be considered dead.

The bots will act semi-randomly:

For challenges, they will prioritize “real” living players.
For killing abilities they will prioritize targeting other bots, if possible.
(Use these informations as you want for your advantage.)

The game will end once there is only 1 “real” living player left, (regardless how many bots there are still in game.) That player will be the actual winner.

Not sure if planning this around the holidays was the play but we’re here so…

yea me too /out

given apparent player preferences it might make more sense to run this with a low playercount but no bots, if that’s mechanically viable

I mean I’m gonna be real, if there’s bots I’m choosing to target the bots first. Not optimal towards the wincon but if my only real targets are less than I can count on one hand with the rest being mild obstacles, the game would be wrapped before it really took off.
