Hm… so you say, but -now that I have backread- I am on the fence whether gummy was genuinely warning Io of how good w!Zone plays “out of concern” or just outright shading me while lying with a straight face.

Ah. Noted. To me, “shading” means “to make someone look bad / evil”. It’s probably roughly the same negative connotation, though the degree of my understanding and interpretation of the word appears to differ than yours.
The difference is that I don’t use this argument to convince other players to not trust someone who has played well as Mafia in the past. I use it for myself, whereas you used it to affect Io’s read.
