Both sentences are correct. First one is in american english, second one in british english

no this is just factually incorrect

if you are the subject it needs to be I

it’s me if you’re the object

in this case if you remove the ā€œand Zenonā€ it becomes immediately clear that ā€œI’m pretty sure me was fasterā€ is wrong

I think that its common to speak that way in modern english is it not?

It’s intentionally grammatically incorrect to make it feel more casual.

No… I’m pretty sure you were self-aware when you said this:

no and if anybody said that the odds they’d be corrected are extremely high

which is exactly why jane corrected herself :joy_cat:

fwiw if you incorrectly used ā€œZenon and Iā€ in a case when ā€œZenon and meā€ would be correct you could probably get away with it easier than using ā€œand meā€ when ā€œand Iā€ is correct

I haven’t never heard anybody say ā€œme and xā€ but it’s usually something like ā€œme and the boysā€ or ā€œme and the girlsā€ where you are intentionally making it extra informal

ā€œme and [specific other person]ā€ is not common

OK maybe we r just in completely different worlds bc i hear people say "me and x did y’ all the time, and nobody corrects them, because who gives a shit

USA do be large so I wouldn’t be shocked to hear that it’d be common in some places

but that hardly makes it ā€œcorrect in american englishā€ lol
