i kind of just read it as someone completely baffled and frozen in the situation but the way they phrase their more recent post slightly implies that they would of if they could. i seeā¦
either theyāre a townie who didnāt check the votes and didnāt think to ever vote for the outcome they wanted and is now frustrated because that outcome didnt happen
or theyre a wolf who saw two town wagons and was fine letting both go over, didnāt want blame for choosing a specific one, wanted cred for calling whichever one rolled town, and now wants cred for a read they didnt pretend to have 24 hours ago

I think if mafia sees two town wagons tied theyāre going to be hesitant to know where to vote, because their vote will then be the one that pushed town over the edge and that can draw suspicion the next day. It is believable for town to be baffled/frozen in that situation if they nullread both, but I think itās also believable for mafia to be.
The natural desire for mafia is to tmi the one going over as town and then use that the next day to push someone else. Thatās hard to do if itās tied and your vote would send someone over.
