Misty, childe, and Ishmael all probably thought they were the second vote on gummy and wouldn’t have known or expected it to take the lead.
Funny how unrelatedly those are also the three names that ended up being my POE yesterday!
If the last one isn’t childe then spooky was killed despite having both mafia in their townreads. This makes me think mafia felt fairly comfortable. If Ishmael pushed a gummy flashwagon to save her partner carbonated, it seems really backwards to me for that team to then kill the person who started the flashwagon and also has carbonated as a top townread.

OH YOU ARE RUE OKAY cool so i quickly skimmed over the formats. yeah I don’t think popcorn is going to be a very helpful reference given its format and also I’m unfamiliar with the I’ll Catch You Format so I might have to spend some time with that. If you could tell me a bit about these so this makes tomorrow’s skim easier (because tbh I’m about to collapse from exhaustion)

I do REALLY like Misty working actively to find reasons to townread town players that are being pushed by other town. Namely, Jaiden and Frost, pushed by Zone and myself. I think that’s quite towny behavior especially when Zone also has herself and Ishmael near the bottom of his readlist.

Day 3 starts with everyone focusing on childe and misty. It feels really unnecessary from pandora’s position to out of nowhere direct people’s attention onto Ishmael instead, if they were partnered
Knowing that Misty’s two suspects are me and Ishmael, it would be extremely counter productive for carbonated to try (very proactively and with serious effort) to convince Misty that I’m town
childe voting ishmael instead of following Misty and pandora in the direction of me is probably towny.
The reason why I’m less willing to clear childe for the ishmael push is that childe itself was a consensus suspect and unlikely to clear itself through normal play. A childe/ishmael team would be relying on back to back deaths of me and Misty, and I think it is really believable to think that they wouldn’t be confident in securing that.
If one of the two of them has to die, then, it’s best for the other to get maximum credit for it.
The same reasoning doesn’t apply to most other players because I think most other players, especially carbonated and pandora, would have no need to bus because there’s enough easy town targets for them to kill instead.
Having reread everything up to this point, I still feel this reasoning mostly holds up on Misty, aside from the defense of Frost and Jaiden on day 2 as mentioned.
There does feel like a lack of working with townreads to narrow down the pool of suspects and find the team, most of the effort goes into casing me. She has Ishmael as a second suspect but the mentions feel mostly obligatory and she doesn’t do anything to convince anyone that Ishmael is mafia. When her and carbonated share common ground on having Ishmael in poe, she doesn’t use that as reasoning to push there.
I do think these things that are missing are more likely to be there if she were town, and the fact that they’re absent would benefit mafia.
