It seems like Ishmael was likely bussing day 3, although at this point she probably expected to die before whoever her partner is.
I canāt remember why I thought this. I think the two of them pushing each other would make sense.
The Jaiden kill is still pretty weird and worries me. But I donāt think Iād ever want to go for carbonated or pandora first here. Misty has some towny posts but after rereading everything, she feels like the one who fits the best to me.

Iā'm worried though why childe would so insistently push Ishmael onto the chopping block. Surely it is negative EV in a game of 2 mafia because losing one means a 1 v 5, and inevitably if childe was maf it would be kind of rough going out and secondly if Childe was just left voted I think that wouldāve been more beneficial EV. That would be one of the strangest busses for very little gain and the only potential gain I can t hink of is an attempt to clear itself
Well, yes! Thatās what busses are for. The goal of the mafia team is to win the game. If at least one of them is very likely to die before the game ends, it benefits them to try to clear themselves off it so the other one can survive.
If it isnāt Misty, someone bussed. Childeās vote is the least strange bus out of all the possibilities because childe needed that boost the most.
This is a vanilla game, thereās no roles or anything, mafia simply need to execute 4 town players. If 1 mafia member gets executed, they still simply need to execute 4 town players. The only way in which a mafia execution is negative EV is if it makes it harder to get those necessary executions. They already got 2 of them. From the position that childe and Ishmael were in yesterday, they were likely going to have trouble executing the 2 more town players they needed. If they worked to defend each other, theyād be seen as partnered once one dies. The safer option would be to find a way for one of them to gain enough credit that they become a less desired execution for the rest of the town. The easiest way to do that is to bus.
The other thing is: there are a lot of ways to help town. Any way in which you help town is negative EV for mafia.
Convincing people not to execute town is an obvious example. This is actually much more harmful to mafia than executing mafia, because if successful, it directly makes it harder to get the misexes that mafia needs.
Getting town to work together, promoting cohesion, encouraging players to share their thoughts and opinions, all of these help town and thus are negative EV for mafia.
Bussing is just the easiest and most visible of all of the possibilities. Which also makes it the most attractive to mafia members, because they donāt really have to do anything and people will clear them for it disproportionate to how much it actually hurt their ability to win.

The point is to try to solve the game. Iām hoping that itās just Misty and we win, but Iām not just going to wait and see if that happens, I want to assess all of the information we have and see who Iām confident in treating as clear.
You got a great deal of credit for pushing Ishmael. pandora said itās never you, carbonated thinks you wouldnāt have. I think that clearly makes it not stupid at all to think youād get credit for it! Doing the thing that could win you the game from a position where you would otherwise lose it is never stupid!!

It does seem the most likely to me, despite some towny play and despite me having some doubts. I think everyone else has done more that makes them feel unpartnered with Ishmael.

My biggest doubt at this point comes from the Jaiden kill, and the fact that Misty didnāt even try to frame me for it when that seems like the obvious thing to do. Maybe she did just think Jaiden was too clear, or she was hoping town would make the argument for her, but killing her strongest ally and someone who was primed to help her push me out doesnāt feel right.

Childe is going to be nigh impossible to sort in f3 and I have faith that if they flip town I have at least a chance to clear myself tomorrow
MistyxāI quickly skimmed your games by the way. Well the Pokemon anyway. The texting style seem so different I donāt know even where to begin. I guess the general vibe is it sounds a bit hesitant. Which I guess is fine compared to this game, but itās also beenā¦ a while back and feels difficult to analyze relatively. Didnāt have time to read all of it yeah I can say the tone is different but I donāt know if the hydra or the age of this game would have affected the tone.
I really donāt see a childe mafia though. I still think this is a stranger vote.
