i have limited amount of time, effort, and sanity i can expend for a game of forum mafia. playing forum mafia is like a resource management game. you know how like in starcraft you have minerals and gas. in age of empires you have food, wood, gold, stone. in mafia, i personally have: sanity, time, motivation. exerting myself to convince wolves that they’re wolves isn’t +EV for me in terms of me trying to win, imo
i remember a botc game where litten was a bad guy (demon or minion, i dunno) and may was a good guy (townsfolk, right?). may and litten were in whispers, and they spent hours talking. litten deliberately wasted may’s time by talking for hours and hours, to the point may lost her focus and messed something up. like an action or something. he inflicted motivational warfare on her
regardless of what happens, my legacy is: kill Litten → kill Wazza

if he’s town the game is over im never surviving lylo. it would suck for me to be put in that situation but life is unfair sometimes. i would still try to salvage it, out of obligation. i would definitely sheep him on wazza, for starters. and then i dont know what i’d do. cry, maybe

… The point is self-preservation (or rather not being okay with your death) isn’t the end all be all for town & litten falls neatly into a villager who would say that while the wolf motivation is only an attempt to get towncred that will not work well while sacrificing the easier path ofnot being ok with your death
no experienced mafia player is ever genuinely okay with dying. they know it hurts their team. its only ever manipulation attempts, or they’re extremely frustrated with the game or players and they dont wanna read the posts. the latter isnt whats happening for litten here
