okay so

say the firebrand can guess a good character unprompted. That can easily clear the firebrand. Now, which would you prefer? An alive Firebrand who executed a d1 suspect, or a dead Firebrand who we wasted a kill on?

and also not the most consistent good one for town

hang the firebrand claim, clear them of being demon, and have them immediately gain character info as a turbo buffed ravenkeeper - or hang an evil bluffing it.
