I am completely unfamiliar with virtuous and a little overwhelmed by all the roles/different names and colors for things?

how is it similar/different from regular mafia? (I don’t think I’m likely to play this, but I am curious)

this game isn’t that much different from a standard semi-open
the big difference is just that Blue Dragon have two gimmicks with the Heroine and the Call to Arms! ability

but those you don’t actually have to worry about
i’ve made a large effort to make sure the game is accessible through the “equivalency chart”
almost every scum role in the game was designed with a town “equivalent” in mind and vice versa
if you’re looking for an easy fakeclaim in the sea of roles, one of your town equivalents is likely to be very good at that
