apparently not contrarian enough seeing as i wrote that Alexis was town bc antagonistic just a few posts after Ash said the exact same thing. Tho I do often focus on things others don’t, but that’s true when im wolf as well. Think he meant if i were to only follow concensus that would be weird, not that he ever expects it.
He mentioned me saying i would play differently form last time, but that was just my assumption hoping i would be more chill or something. Not feeling different yet.

Shending will prod and ask questions when something interests him. Can get very detailed. Will discuss things at length in order to clear something up. Very self aware as he said. Not sure how to spot him as w in forum, but i want to see more prodding and eventually stronger w-reads. Very different format from our last game…

jason v. Liked how he went and looked for your posts in a previous game for comparison, all bc of a gut feeling. More effort than one would think of putting in as wolf. Could be very tactical and a conscious decision ig but anything could.
Ishmael v perhaps, if i hadn’t already been thru my shending paranoia i would react to his posts just the way she does.

ok yea see i would totally think these posts were weird had this been my first game with shending. But if he’s town he def will start putting pressure somewhere eventually, and change his mind on previous v reads. let him cook

I saw a Derrwm Brown episode where he predicted peoples motivations to 90% accuracy and everyone thought he was a mindeeader and then at the end he was just like “yeah everyone thinks of themself like this so i gave everyone the same document lol”

oh this is towny thanks! floaty seems reasonable although I’m never very invested in my scumreads. (also can everyone stop saying I scumread hippo that was not serious & I’m still thinking about it.) anyway, this entire longpost is cozy in a way

for the record, I struggled with not townreading the entire game during grande idea too, so ishmael’s point is valid as well, but I can entirely buy shending’s thing being how he plays as either alignment since that’s basically how I play too (see: me right now)

I kinda think I would post it. it’s something I would genuinely feel as either alignment, and what I think you’re thinking about is more if I made it up entirely to make shending feel more positively towards me, which yes, is something I would not like to do as mafia (but also wouldn’t do as town?)

man I don’t know reading shending is weird bc all his reasonings and justifications about playstyle I can see coming like exactly from me, the only difference is shending has more confidence and/or stronger reads than me, so I think he’s getting more attention because he has, actual reads, to be discussed (unlike me). I can see people’s points about his posts being wolfy, but the reasons are like, things I think also apply to me, so then there’s a bias level of “well I do this too as town, so it’s not really that damning,” and I’m not all to sure where that leaves me. (there’s also a bias level of “well, I would do this too as mafia” since I play both alignments similarly, so like.)

I’m like torn between paranoia about you making this specific read as mafia vs town, but the rest of your posting is kinda good meowwwwww

for clarification though, I think jason might again be the highest (townlean) on my towniness scales (so it goes), and then maybe ash has managed to slip in after him, let me see if I can make some tiers

yes, I have some thoughts that you can find in frieren that I’ll can find later on what I thought the difference could be that game although that was in part bc there was a parallel in frieren to gim, which didn’t happen in htis game + I said earlier that willow is like a very easy default to target generally (and that could be happening right now)

the vote is more that willow hasn’t done anything for me to give her townpoints rather than any sort of specific scumread & if I’m going to be gone for long periods of time, I might as well see/try to have stuff happen when I’m gone

willow also said in frieren that her activity is correlated with how interested she was in the game setup/mechanics rather than her alignment for what it’s worth, so maybe my read on her in frieren was off a bad sample size of games
