There's No Freaking Way I'll Be Your Mason! Unless... -- Day 4 (8/14)

barwe I might be confusing your earlier reads, but you had jason as pretty towny earlier, what made you re-consider and keep him in the poe?

Hippopablompoyeetus (1): Shending

not

I’ve been staring at barwe/chomps for a few minutes

Some mech thoughts

If meow flips wolf, then whoever gave ash the doublevote is likely town. I think if that person was a wolf, they want to give the doublevote to ash so later in the game they can claim it and frame it as them townsiding. They clearly expected ash to die n1 if they shot him, so giving the doublevote to dead ash does them no good.

except the most recent longpost, it’s hard for me to read barwe as mafia with how he’s so excited and energetic all the time. if you want me to do a slightly more in-depth post with quotes, maybe I should, but the conclusion probably won’t be any more definitive than this for me

there is a lot of energy is being put into narrative building, but I think I can’t distinguish between solving and worldbuilding in those posts (actually I think they are the same thing; rather I cannot tell if they’re being constructed with good or bad faith). there’s sorta an agenda going on with those narratives, but barwe isn’t pushing them very hard, just presenting them as an option?

barwe do you like playing as mafia more than as town?

chomps - I townread his initial vote on me for feeling very unconcerned with the optics (as I would perhaps expect mafia to be with the tmi I’m town). caveat is that I can’t really predict chomps’s mind at all. feel kinda iffy that then he didn’t seem to engage w/ the fact the redcheck could be not real, but then he voted barwe (seemed like pre-omgus), so I am re-scrambled again

Wait fk

@Ash have you considered a world where you were rb’d n1

 well I did suggest he was rbed n2

it seems a little mean if wolves can mess up ash’s potential results though

Hmmm

this reminds me that I gave chomps a half townpoint earlier if ash was the intendned n2 target bc dia seemed to be telegraphing a push onto chomps d3

This is why i hate mech

surely you’ll play the next beatings then…

N1 doesn’t matter for the mech.
Did consider an N2 RB, but I also think if mafia had an RBer, they’d use it on me N1, so I don’t think that would happen unless mafia had an every-night RBer that could consecutive-target, which is…unlikely.

I guess a 2-shot one could work?

time is passing much faster than I thought it would man

ash rbed worlds are really bad I don’t want to consider wolves having a rber bc it just means I’m doomed even if I make it through today haha

I also just feel like surely you save the rbs for when there’s a claimed town investigative? because you don’t actually lose kp if you shoot someone bodyguarded, and like ash is reasoning, it doesn’t seem like an awful trade to hit the “essentially confirmed town bodyguard” over “town leader,” especially on the earlier days, but it’s way more valuable to rb the bodyguard, so you can kill an investigative, so if it’s xshot you’d save.

and further it doesn’t really make sense for that to happen on n2 when dia is claimed vanilla and there isn’t even the chance of sniping pr (unless mafia didn’t believe their claim, which admittedly, I was toying around with neopolitan dia for a while). I might be digging myself into a deeper mech hole here haha

prob only scenario rber makes sense to me is like even night wolf rber or something?
