Screw it; we’ll drop a portion of it.
In effect, I know I was shot either N1 or N2. If I was shot N1, meow is mafia; if I was shot N2, my info means nothing.
Either case would involve mafia starting the game with an extra kill (which is reasonable to me given that minus any protection, they’d get a worse endgame in exchange for potentially removing a PR/high-poster).

I think that given this, it is much more likely that mafia shot YBW and me N1, after I claimed Bodyguard and would’ve been guaranteed consensus town come D2, rather than Dia and me N2, when I was very much under the radar and not doing much of anything that day. Consequently, aforementioned 65-70% chance.

it does seem less good for mafia to have not frontloaded their kills n1 → that is a strong case for me being mafia I guess

the fact they shot ash though is weird bc I would have expected an ash on ybw n1, so I wouldn’t have tried to shoot both of them unless I knew shooting the bodyguard meant their target wouldn’t be protected

on the other hand, n2, mafia thinks ash has protected dia n1 and can’t protect them again n2, so it actually makes sense to shoot ash + dia n2 from that angle (still unsure why mafia saved their kills and didn’t shoot ybw and dia n1, could be a timegated vig I guess)

Yeah, you’re probably right.
The trick of my role is that if I get shot, my role secretly stops working. Additionally, if my target is town, they die; if they’re mafia, the kill fails.
I targeted Dia N2, and they died. Ergo, either I got shot N1 protecting w!meow (kill fails because mafia), or I got shot N2 protecting Dia (kill succeeds because town).

Either way, I’m now effectively a VT.

I’ve…mostly been trying to stay townread enough to not get pushed for a claim before d4 but not consensus enough to get nked & I was quite glad ybw and dia died bc I thought I’d make it through d3 & n3 fine and then we’d have at least something d4
