i’m normally very much not
i did some initial distancing d1 with the plan of turning around on it later, but then i just didn’t find the time/wim for following through on it while in thread d2. And my last d3 busvote was me knowing i was basically doomed to be hung that phase with me being busy IRL and with my earlier townlock read of Barwe me voting him there would just out me/frost. at least that was my thought process while quickly checking in on the thread

Uhh full setup thoughts. I liked a lot of these roles a lot. I thought they had very interesting play patterns.
Haruna, the Action Tracker, is a rolecop who #1 can’t see Renako is cop until she actions and #2 can’t see that Mai has two different abilities. The more important feature of the role IMO is that you can’t 100% confirm a player is VT, only that they didn’t action. It is a boosted tracker in the sense that it can hard PR-check a player but can’t hard VT-check one. I like it. Wish it saw use
Satsuki, the Blocking Controller, is a lot of fun IMO because it has so many different use cases. You can use it as a straight roleblocker/inventor for mafia if it’s on a player who doesn’t get value out of claiming it, you can use it as a towncred farm, you can . Originally it didn’t have the Ascetic, it was a Commuter, which is better for towncred but worse for, well, being a strongman. I put the Ascetic in so that the bodyguard or any other hypothetical protectives the wolves fear can’t keep a claimed cop alive lategame.
The last Boy maybe should’ve been another PR? But I wanted to nudge the mafia into claiming VT, because if they had 3 PRs they might think the setup is PR-heavier than it is, and them all claiming PR would be a disaster. Similarly, the other two wolf roles were designed to be easily claimable in a limited form for players without strong setup knowledge. But that didn’t end up working out.
Ajisai Ajisai Ajisai Ajisai Bodyguard very fun role. Good role, kind of hard to perfectly equate to in traditional mafia terms. 1-shot bulletproof loyal vengeful? IDK. It’s a way to put town KP in the game without messing with numbers. It’s a role which lends itself to careful decision-making based on social positioning which I love. It’s a role where you have to interpret your night results like tea leaves but can get very powerful information from them which I love. One thing that kind of diminished it: the mafia were supposed to have a commuter item which could hypothetically “have stopped a kill”, which added a little more fun to the “no-kill night, did I target wolf and get NKed?” decision-making
Renacop was like IDK the game probably didn’t need her but nothing adds self-preservation and desperation like a cop, especially a lategame-only cop, and therefore it opens up a lot of fun fakeclaiming and hiding and weaving your way through executions and I just thought it was fun.
Kaho exists IG. Wauw doublevoter. I half-considered cutting her to lower the number of TPRs but look at that face you can’t cut Kaho #cardio (I probably shoulda cut Kaho just because I don’t think she adds more to the game than she takes away in terms of kind of cutting down misexe options if people think hte last wolf role is strong)
Mai the BP/MD was also a very fun role, again it’s a social-positioning-decision-making role where you have to interpret your night results like tea leaves. My favorite kind. I changed the image on top of the role based on whether her hair was up or down which was fun
And then Hitoe was a role which hypothetically could do something fun lategame but was unwieldy and hard to use effectively. Which is fine! It’s a fun twist on a neighborizer I think. I’m happy with it.

Yeah I do understand why you give the 3rd mafia an goon role because every character that’s a girl is taken who’s relevant to the story, I almost did the chauffeur.
