Firebrand is just âTown Arsonistâ, while Firefighter specifically cleans douses. Neither of them originate from BotC.
OP also says bastard, and if FoLâers like Icet can add BS rules like âdead interaction is bastardâ then I will add my rule of âOP lying is bastardâ.

Thatâs an entirely different role with the same name, in the same way that BotCâs Investigator is different to Town of Salemâs Investigator.
For our purposes, Firebrand is a Town Arsonist with the same mechanics. Douses shouldnât be loud, but I could see the modifier coming from Frost.

Yes I know about Arsonist, but I heard about Firebrand as well. Have never seen a Firefighter role

Firefighters are never really seen in practice, because they only serve to counter a specific already-rare killing role whose only advantage is to douse slowly.
