Hello friends, my first impression as I read the thread is pancakes person is too strange to be a wolf and that leafia feels like her usual town self, although she has surprised me now and again.
I have also decided not to bully Hippo, since he seemed horrified at the thought.

i don’t think she’d form that ability on her own unless wolves have one that plays with it similarly & she is a wolf
(or if she does actually just have that role but i doubt that)
but it is a go-to usage from a setup design perspective
