Wiretapper13er [Wolves Win!]

Unless it is straight up an Alignment Cop or Doctor, no ability is ever worth using it. Period.

In my case, I got nothing to lose. Either the wolves accept my vanilla claim, or their paranoid heads think I am lying –an unlikely event, considering Dia also claimed VT already. But if they think that I do have powers, then the only way to learn about it is to wait until I slip up somewhen (somehow) or just wait until I out my abilities. (Which will never happen in this game.)

Anyway based on memory Willow/Zone/Tutuu are the most polarized people in this game that I havent handwaved town yet, so smacking one of them around and seeing if they have fur is probably optimal.

Sure I think zone’s mech posting has been bad and this probably wasn’t the way I’d want to resolve this but time is funny or whatever they say

Friends… and Zone. :slightly_smiling_face:

–and that’s where I stop reading the rest of the post. Because all I need to know is how long you survive in comparison to everyone else.

Wolves either communicate who they kill or they don’t, and I will auto-assume they always do. I asked the hosts, and messages are sent instantaneously. Basically, if no Town send messages, and only Mafia does, then Wiretapper is more likely to intercept a message from a Mafia. Then we could hold a mass call sign reveal around mid-game in hopes of catching the Mafia.

The alternative would be to either pray that the Wiretapper intercepts a Mafia’s message, or -as I have just learned from Dia in P#29- I could just treat this game as mountainous with one pseudo-IC.

not a fan it seems like there’s an anti claim

*went to check this at OP*
Huh… I was wrong. There really were only 13 call signs.
Well that makes my job easier. Now Wiretapper can be utilized more effectively.

Which is impossible by design.

Oh, for whatever reason I thought it was some sort of Cop that has something to do with the top-posters. In that case my initial thought of ignoring that part of your claim was correct. Carry on.

No.
*skims your post anyway despite saying no*
Nothing changes.

Unless otherwise stated, I do not treat strong recommendations as proof of the existence of an anti-claim mechanic.

not a fan seems like they don’t flip upon death

I am kind of assuming the game is balanced in a way that makes sending texts necessary/optimal for town & there are ways mafia can figure out the nk without texting each other. One text seems optimal for like communicating mechanical results to somebody you trust.

i can think of so many ways to do this but won’t say them in case the wolf team can’t rotate an apple in their mind

Hey guys let’s all agree to have our last posts being rankings of the playerlist based on how much we would want to nk them

But really my concern with the zone thing is that I think being so dogmatic about mech is not likely to turn out well. It’s a rather zone-type post to be made, and if he’s town he’ll likely get flack for it later, which is why I didn’t really care before.

The best thing I can come up with is to force whoever is likely to be executed in later days to say their call sign before they die. In addition, put suspicion towards those who claim later during the mass call sign reveal.

It probably is, but my ideology is always to treat games with pick-your-poison abilities as if it were mountainous. My games do the same, and the solution to them were always meant to be to ignore the risks and play “normally”. (Which I suppose could be interpreted as “one should waste the designers’ efforts”.)

They already know each other’s identities and call signs. Their “WCS” (if you can even call it that) is if they were to all have unique kill targets, which puts them into the faction kill RNG pool. I did think it was possible for everyone to “lay low” to hide the Wiretapper… but then I looked at the player list and immediately understood that it was impossible; there is no way at least 2 Mafia can’t synchronize their targets given the obvious targets.

*searches what dogmatic means*
Ah, yeah. That indeed describes me. At least I don’t enforce my opinions on others, but I do trust my own opinions a lot.

/shrug
I’ll just chuck it up as “we have different playstyles” and move on.

Huh. I didn’t think I would shoot my own foot in one post.
Oh well. It’s not as if I can actually enforce people to enact my ideas anyway; they’d have to agree with my ideas for it to happen.

If they were able to send messages during the day as well, then those messages are effectively Ninja, and I doubt there is a Ninja modifier, because that would make me question why one would even design Wiretapper in the first place. (Besides treating them as pseudo-IC.)

I was backreading solely to find this post:
