like you’re breathing down my neck and choosing to read me based on things that don’t actually matter. wolfreading me because i sound like baudib as a wolf? townreading me because i said “im not a wolf”? surely you recognize these points are asinine. not to mention, you townread me because i townread potatocat who you also townread. and you suspect me for pushing garfooled who you think is town. you can’t really give someone credit for agreeing with one of your reads, or suspect them for disagreeing with one of your reads because town and wolves can both be wrong and right lol, it’s what they’re doing holistically that matters. i see this happen in mashes a lot where one guy just gets demolished for having a wrong read when they were right on everything else. not that i even think i’m necessarily wrong on garfooled, but reading me based on these things is just silly unless you think garfooled is a blindingly obvious villager - which you don’t, because you note that she is scummy as town
the reason you’re having this problem is because you operate from the belief that people should sheep their townreads often unconditionally without considering the reasoning. and we disagree about this. because imo sheeping someone unconditionally isn’t more likely to make you any more accurate than anyone else or yourself. it’s the reasoning that matters, or the confidence, and i haven’t really seen you express either of those
you also appear to have this one dimensional model of how you think i should be playing. that i should be excited to carry because it’s my first game back, and that i’m wolfy for not being excited. but ironically this is actually why i’m town - i have every reason to be happy with this game if i randed wolf - randing wolf on this site is a free win, more than half of the players aren’t playing, and there’s like 7 free MLs i could push if i wanted to at any point. i have wanted to rand wolf on fol for a while because this is what the games are always like. i came back for this game hoping to gin up some enthusiasm but things are basically just the same and i don’t really have it in me to care anymore. i’ll play the game because i signed up for it, but i have no obligation to carry
if this isn’t compelling then… so what? you don’t have to have some read locked in on me on the first phase. funnily enough i actually understand where this desire comes from for you. your recent fol games basically involved you making reads on what limited content you can get from a lobby who is barely playing, then dying night 1 or night 2, and hoping you were right from dvc while the living players unconditionally sheep you. except this doesn’t work because you didn’t have all the information in the first phases, and the players who did get that information didn’t end up using it. consider if i’m town then the prognosis for this game is a lot more optimistic. i’m not playing hard enough to get killed early on, clearly, and if it gets to a point where i can be that player who uses that new information to rejuvenate the game, then i will try to do it. this lobby has enough players, not just me, who can activate on later phases. you aren’t the only one capable of carrying this game. we just don’t need to do it all at the same time. and for this reason you don’t need to worry about getting a perfect read on everyone right now, including on me. so my recommendation is that you stop breathing down my neck to reach for whatever reason you can to read me one way or another, and you’ll be more capable of waiting for something to come naturally which is a lot more compelling

i remember a recent game where you caught hippo as a wolf for this reasoning. but it just wasn’t true and you got lucky lol. he is capable of potato’ing as town, if he stays as a wet noodle the entire game then i’d be inclined to agree with your read. but it’s never really correct to call him a wolf for not activating and tryharding on day 1. especially in a game with this pace lol

You didn’t have much to work with, that’s fair. I still think the meta read and specifically the way you meta read me was highly questionable and deserved my reaction.
Why would I not be? Do you think I should just ignore it and let you carry on wolfreading me with questionable reasons? (Questions are rhetorical.)
It’s not “information bias”; I’m not bringing this up because you have an incorrect read of me. I’m bringing this issue up because if you’re town, I need you to let go of this bad and misguided method of reading me. If, as you said in the first part of this post, you only intended to do it temporarily to start somewhere and you don’t intend to continue, then I think that’d be ok. However, if you do keep using this outlier of a game as “meta” to read me, it will become a bigger problem. If you’re wolf, I need to bring attention to how you’re reading me if I think you’re doing it in bad faith/with bad intentions. By asking for an explanation, I’m also simultaneously trying to gauge if your responses are reasonable or if you’re just making up a read on me with unfamiliarity and meta as an excuse.
