I see, well that was fully opportunistic, FF was under suspicion and some votes so I divebombed on him, but you’ll notice I never rallied to get people to directly vote him, I put on a show and even gave him some windows to try and make myself look townie to him to confuse

I misunderstood, then: I usually take “opening” to mean “first post”. That seems to be the source of the issue here. I thought you were asking single question about a post you found NAI, that was established pregame, and then, like, wolfreading me based on finding that post NAI. I understand your actions more if it’s about Hippo’s later posts.
On first skim, I found those posts to be… let’s say “pretty classic Hippo”, something he’s capable of doing as wolf or town, when I came back to them I ended up mildly disliking his sticking to the script (which I actually now have changed my mind on again: Hippo was always going to stick to the script there regardless of alignment). I can take another closer look here, if you’d like:
FTR this is fairly true, I’ve seen Hippo wagoned as town at EoD for no god damn reason when he was right about everything. It’s wolfy in isolation but thinking back to games Hippo has had recently I get it
I take none of these posts to be alignment-indicative from specifically Hippo given my previous experience with him, he’s very much “like this” as either alignment. Honestly a little bit relaxed and towny? But very very mildly. And it’s not something I expect you to agree with if you don’t have experience with him, I would find these posts awkward if I didn’t know Hippo.
Chomps and Hippo have a habit of wolfreading each other correctly as W/T so I like the mutual masoning here? I don’t super trust either to be 100% accuracy but it’s +points

I liked the sudden tone-shift here, it feels natural that Hippo would shift tone while talking to somebody who talks different from the average FoLer, and it makes him seem a little more… “unfiltered”. Also asking the right question

Given that was a wall, a TLDR:
To me, “opening” means “first post”, so your (RetrogradeDusk’s) behaviour made, like, no sense in my mind. Now that I know you were talking about Hippo’s later-but-still-early posts, your behaviour does make sense and I don’t find you nearly as wolfy.
I still think your focus is a bit… like you’re fighting a war, like you know what the sides are. You feel entrenched, you feel stable and static, you’re here primarily to bat down my arguments and make your own against me in turn, it’s got a little tinge of being informed. But this can also just be a playstyle thing, and I don’t know you well enough to make the call either way. As you can see, my playstyle involves a lot of long walls of hedging, I’m kind of hte polar opposite here.
