unless you’re frequently downloading a lot of shit and need it done EXTRA fast 250 is absolutely more than enough for like a vast majority of cases
if you know of one or the other being more reliable/having less downtime thats probably what id care more about

fwiw i pay for the gigabit but i split it with 3 roommates
i love it personally
however I do think it’s overkill and probably would not get it solo?
$120 a year for faster downloads a few times a month is probably objectively not worth it but like if you’re splitting with others it can become worth it pretty quick (especially since we might all be downloading at once)
