this is a choose your own adventure rap battle movie that uses an app where you vote for who rapped better. there are only 2 other movies that have ever utilized this app, one of which is a choose your own adventure documentary(!) about the rwandan genocide(!!?!)
if you haven’t watched the show before this movie will be completely incoherent. if you have you will lose your shit as these anime boys drop some rank ass bars for one song every like 20 minutes. there is SO much downtime there has never been a movie more friendly for people with IBS or who otherwise need to use the restroom often
my friends and i (we rallied 8 people to atlanta for this showing) tried to convince the audience to vote for the one rap group that was all women at the end. this did not work because everyone else in the theater was a fujoshi and misogyny is alive and well in america.
