I mean it happened once (the first thread wolf RUDELY stole victory away from me & then town won the second thread); it was argue that the second thread wolf should have also gotten it since it’s harder for second thread wolf to win
i Guess?
since you alternate between the two threads wouldn’t town instantly win both threads if they win in thread 1 tho
if it happened simultaneously it would be less of a problem since it’d only happen if you d1 the wolf (though it would still be a problem) but like
and since it’s symetrical it’s extremely difficult to lie about who your check is on
yea kinda; the last game last flip was withheld from us
yea the most you can do is try & switch to (/from??) a self-check in tandem with the other wolf though that can also get outed
also this can result in kingmaker situations quite easily if you d2 the thread 1 wolf and they’re town in the other game, since they lose either way
you can get a self-check?
yeah it happened like. half of the time
tf
notably we hanged the self-checks d1 thread 1 both games. i don’t know why
this quizbowl?
no it’s an aops original
do you even do quizbowl
no but i did do science bowl for like about a year which is like kind of similar if you don’t know much about either of them
how the hell did you get here then
i thought ash got you over or something
i was visualizing it like, you would basically pair people off randomly from different threads after pairing the two mafia players together
like,
players (with A/B to signify thread 1 and 2)
1 A/B
2 A/B
3 A/B
4 A/B
5 A/B
5A and 3B are wolves, so they both get the redcheck on eachother
since 5A and 3B are taken, you’d roll a dice or smth and get (say) 2A and 4B
which, i suppose could result in a random amount of self-checks now that i think about it, but that’s kinda dumb since you know yourself anyways
and it being a random amount of self-checks is kinda BS since that fucks with swing a lot
the concept is Workable but i don’t like the win condition and i don’t like the implementation
