Once, when I was wolf, my team correctly spotted that a player was colour detective, and correctly spotted exactly the checks he had been crumbing, and correctly spotted that there was just a death of one of his checks, meaning he had a redcheck on me
…so at SoD, I claimed colour detective, with a redcheck on him.

I also really like the push-your-luck gameplay of cop, like in my first game we were cop and got a redcheck but decided to crumb it/push it as a social read because we thought we would never get nightkilled since we were highly suspicious (we got nightkilled as we were about to get a second redcheck

That one was “cop, but you know there’s also a cop with reversed checks in the game, and you don’t know which one you are”, which is. OK well it’s extremely poewrful but also fairly fun

The dayplay isn’t that interesting but I’m used to playing in places with strong “don’t reveal redchecks first thing” etiquette so shrug I don’t mind thaaat much given it can do a lot of fun things

IDK like I think vanilla “cop” isn’t the most interesting role in the world but even mild variants create fun situations precisely because it is so powerful
