i peeked the like global banlist and ngl banning OHKOs, and stuff like double team and minimize globally made me take it less seriously lmao. totally unsurprising that froslass got banned

they banned quick claw, which is fair and defensible as an anti-cheese protocol in a vacuum. but with jirachi and gyarados still around it sure seems to me like the intent was “pokemon are outspeeding our flinchers sometimes :( that’s no fair :(”

i do think for the most part banning ohko moves comes from a place of cowardice but also i’m pretty sure there’s a gen where they accidentally gave machamp both no guard and fissure and that should stay in the depths of hell
the gen 2-3 trade gap is genuinely the only thing stopping no guard machamp
it got fissure pre abilities
also idk but i’m fine with not having to think about what mega hawlucha’s getting up to in pokemon champions (imagine getting a mega ability so ill suited to you that far and away its best utility is giving it to someone else)
if youre wondering, no you cannot get a no guard fissure machamp from trading from 3ds virtual console
